Terms and community rules
These terms are the agreement between you and LPORT for using the LPORT app and website. The first part is the community rules: what you can and cannot post. The rest covers your account, what happens to what you post, and how the service works. By creating an account, or by accepting them in the app, you agree to them. Last updated October 2026.
Who runs LPORT
LPORT is an independent project run by students, from Morocco. It is not an official Al Akhawayn University service and is not run by the university. For anything about these terms, your account or your data, write to privacy@lport.ma. How your data is handled is set out in the privacy policy, which is part of this agreement.
Who can use LPORT
- You must be 18 or older. LPORT is not for anyone under 18, and accounts found to belong to someone under 18 are closed.
- LPORT is for students and members of the Al Akhawayn University community.
- One person, one account. Do not create an account for someone else, share an account, or sell or hand one over.
- What you give when you sign up, such as your university email address, must be your own and accurate.
The community rules
LPORT has no tolerance for abusive content or abusive people. You may not post, send, upload or submit as a confession anything that:
- harasses, bullies, threatens or intimidates anyone, or encourages others to;
- names, describes or otherwise identifies a real person in a way that exposes, shames or targets them, including in anonymous confessions;
- shares someone's private information, photos or messages without their consent;
- attacks people for their religion, ethnicity, nationality, gender, sexuality, disability or background;
- is sexually explicit, or sexualises anyone who has not consented or who is under 18;
- promotes violence, self-harm, or illegal activity;
- impersonates another person, a student group or the university;
- infringes someone else's copyright or other rights, beyond sharing study material for personal study;
- is spam, a scam, or advertising nobody asked for.
No list covers everything. Moderators may also remove content or restrict an account when that is reasonably necessary to protect people or to keep LPORT working safely, even if the case is not listed above. This is for real harm and real risk, not for disagreeing with an opinion.
Anonymous confessions
- A confession is published without your name. Anonymous means other people cannot see who you are, not that nothing you write has consequences: the same rules apply, and the privacy policy explains exactly what the server keeps and when it can be used.
- Every confession is reviewed before it is released, and the page decides what is released. Not every confession is published.
- Released confessions are public. They appear in the app, and may also be shared on public social media accounts run by LPORT or by a partner page it works with, such as on Instagram. Do not submit anything you would not want to see published there.
Reporting, blocking and emergencies
- Every post, comment, document and account has a Report option. Reports go to the moderators. We aim to review them within 24 hours, though it can take longer at busy times.
- Blocking someone hides them from you and you from them, everywhere in the app, straight away.
- LPORT is not an emergency service. Reports are not watched around the clock. If someone is in danger, contact the university, emergency services (police 19, ambulance 15 in Morocco) or another person who can help, first.
How moderation works
- Moderators can remove content, warn, time out an account, or ban it permanently. They weigh how serious the content is, its context, whether it has happened before, and the risk to others.
- Where a report is serious, such as a threat or exposing someone, an account can be suspended straight away while it is looked into.
- When a moderator removes something you posted, you are told, with the reason.
- Serious cases, such as threats of violence, may be passed to the university or the authorities.
- Moderation actions are logged. If you think a decision was wrong, write to privacy@lport.ma and it will be looked at again by someone else where possible.
Your account
- Keep your login details secure, and do not share them. If you think someone else has got into your account, change your password and tell us as soon as you can.
- You are responsible for what you post and do on LPORT.
- You can delete your account at any time in the app. What that removes is listed in the privacy policy.
- LPORT can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, as described under moderation above.
What you post
You keep ownership of what you post. You give LPORT permission to store it, and to show it to the people it is meant for in the app. For confessions you submit and that are released, that permission also covers publishing them on the social media accounts described above.
The permission ends when you delete the content or your account. Copies other people already saved or shared, confessions already published on social media, and backups that rotate out within 30 days can outlast that; ask at the address below and a released confession is taken down from the accounts LPORT controls.
Using the service fairly
Do not try to get around LPORT's security, access accounts or data that are not yours, collect other people's data, or use bots, scripts or automated tools against the app or its server. Do not use LPORT to send spam or to overload it.
The service
- LPORT is provided as it is, by a small student team. It is free, and some features are released gradually, can change, or can be withdrawn.
- We work to keep it running and your data safe, but cannot promise it will always be available or free of errors.
- What people post is their own: LPORT does not check everything before it appears, and is not responsible for what users write. If something breaks the rules, report it.
- Nothing in these terms limits any right you have, or any responsibility LPORT has, that cannot be limited under Moroccan law.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change in a way that matters, the app will tell you and ask you to accept the new version before you carry on. Small corrections, like fixing wording, can be made without asking again.
Law and disagreements
These terms are governed by Moroccan law. If there is a problem, write to privacy@lport.ma first: most things can be sorted out that way. If not, the competent courts of Morocco decide.
